Asalaamu alaykum.

EID Mubarak to you and your families.

May 16, 2020

Dear Community members,

Assalamu alaikum,

Islamic Center of Boise will not be holding Eid prayers this year. The Fiqh Council of North America has urged mosques to follow state guidelines for any social gatherings and congregation.

We are following the Governor’s guidelines in our process of opening the mosque and holding any gatherings under the ICB umbrella. As stated in phase two of reopening (May16th-May29th) gatherings, both public and private, of less than 10 people can only occur with social distancing

Given our current Covid-19 situation and the size of our community, it is logistically not possible to hold Eid prayers. Our objective is to keep our community safe.

We advise families to observe all of the Sunnah’s of Eid, pray at home with their own families, with the special takbīrat of Eid.

Eid being so special for kids, we want to do something for them. ICB will be handing out gifts to the children on the day of Eid from (8:30am - 9:30am) on our parking lot. We would like to have you drive by and we will hand them out.

Stay safe and blessed,

President, ICB
