Quran and Islamic Studies
At the Islamic Center of Boise, we provide Islamic education for children from Level 1-7 from ages 5 -17. We focus on Quran, Islamic Studies, and Islamic history. Our classes are held weekly on Sunday from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm.
Our focus is on educating our children about moral and human values as taught in the Quran; to provide each student the foundational knowledge of Islam and its teachings. Qur’anic Studies addresses areas of reading, reciting, memorization and understanding of the Holy Qur’an. Students in all grades are taught Islamic history.
In order for us to ensure the success of your child in our school, we ask you to follow up with your children on their assignments and work together with the assigned teacher. Please stress the importance of Sunday school and Islamic education to your children.
We encourage you to approach the staff and administration for any questions or concerns you may have. Your continuing feedback is what will bring success to our future Muslim community leaders.
Volunteers
We are in regular need of volunteers. Teachers do not require prior knowledge except a willingness and desire to work with our youth. Curriculum and materials are provided, including support and training.
